The New York Times reported in its Lede Blog, "the incident looks to be the first major test of college and university leaders' resolve ... to act more quickly and to communicate better and faster," with the campus community. CNN reported that of the two victims, one female and one male was shot around 1 a.m. this morning. "Several law enforcement agencies, including the Delware State Police, were aiding the search." To alert the campus community Bloomberg reported that officials were asking residents to get news from the school's website or by calling the school's weather hotline. On its website, reported that according to the Associated Press, university officials were also posting flyers on dorm room doors to alert students to stay inside their rooms. The suspected gunman is still at large, as of noon on Friday.
