L-3 partners with CDC for biotraining and response | 03.03.2008 | 13:51:48 | Views: 5963 | ID: March 3 '08: Washington Technology reported that L-3 subsidiary MPRI Inc. will partner with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help train federal agency "with preparedness training and simulation exercises to cope with a wide range of hazards, including acts of bioterrorism and pandemic outbreaks," WashTech reported. The partnership, which initially began back in 2006, has been working on the development of the CDC Influenza Pandemic Operational Plan with a five-year outlook "to provide strategic and operational planning, training, simulations and exercise programs for CDC personnel." According to its Executive Summary, the CDC's Influenza Pandemic OPLAN, "describes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Influenza Pandemic Operation Plan (OPLAN), a plan that delineates how CDC, as a subordinate operating division (OPDIV) of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), will prepare for and fight this potentially devastating outbreak of infectious disease for our nation, and the world."
