Christian Appalachian Project partners with Enterprise for response transportation | 03.06.2008 | 12:21:16 | Views: 6559 | ID: March 6 '08: Sometimes during disasters, those who are responding may not have all the transportation resources they need to make sure that the affected communities can be reached. The Christian Appalachian Project has developed a partnership with the rental car company Enterprise to provide cars and rental vans on short notice. Details of the partnership include Enterprise working to contact regional offices in various regions of Appalachia - including Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia - to find specialized needs of CAP. Sherry Buresh from CAP said, "They are aware the vehicles coming back from a disaster area will require extra cleaning and have been great about not complaining about the condition, i.e. mud everywhere, full of sand from the Florida tornadoes, etc." So far, CAP has used Enterprise cars and vans on response and recovery missions to Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and Tennessee.
