The donations, totaling $53 million are "focused on increasing access to healthcare, helping developing nations and countries in crisis, and addressing another critical community needs." The money donated was delivered to communities through partnerships Baxter has established with DirectRelief International and AmeriCares. The partnerships work to promote access to healthcare inline with the company's sustainability goals. "Continuing to meet critical community needs through grants that advance public health, enhanced employee wellness programs and product donations to countries in crisis are strong reflections of our continued commitment to this goal," Baxter's chairman and CEO Robert L.
