ENVISAGE officials said they hoped to help CCORA with technology, interoperability and data standards within the EPN to boost the network's capability. The EPN is a secure online network for private and community sector stakeholders who can share information, technology and data. National in its scope, the EPN can provide a virtual location for its users to share communications, resources and information before during and after a crisis. The EPN is sponsored by CCROA. CCROA National Advisory Board Chairman and former Homeland Security Secretary Asa Hutchinson said his goal was to help build "a national grassroots infrastructure of local leaders who will ensure that every community is capable of responding to an emergency until help arrives." ENVISAGE CEO Ari Vidali said in the press release, "Local businesses, charities, and not-for-profit organizations have significant resources in terms of qualified personnel, critical resources, materials and supplies at their disposal. It is essential that we provide tools to properly register, maintain, share and search this information in order to put these vital capabilities in a community's arsenal during times of crisis."
