Safe America's First Responders program | 04.08.2008 | 09:00:35 | Views: 5871 | ID: April 9 '08: The Safe America Foundation announced late last year that it had merged the American Fire & Rescue and EMS Organization into the Safe America First Responders (SAFR). The initiative helps to organize resources and assets "by partnering and coordinating with national and state associations and organizations to help manage and provide needed up-to-date equipment, supplies and training," the Safe America website read. Guy Scull, the President of American Fire & Rescue and EMS Organization said he hoped the new partnership would help to "raise funds to provide up-to-date equipment and supplies to our nation's firefighters, rescue personnel and EMS providers." Those funds and assets would be targeted toward civic organizations, government and corporations. The partnership's focus on health and safety issues would be announced through national media campaigns and public initiatives the website read.
