SCN offers its members access to "critical safety and security" information through its Internet portal which includes forums, security awareness programs, model crisis management and rapid response scenarios tailored for the Jewish community. SCN is modeled after private sector Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISAC), public –private partnership organizations that collect, distribute, analyze and share information regarding threats, vulnerabilities, alerts and best practices in order to protect our national critical infrastructures. To assist communities with emergency preparedness and disaster resiliency, SCN serves as a central address for raising community awareness, capacity building across public and private sectors, and sharing of best practices and lessons learned. SCN is a trusted partner and advisor for Jewish community organizations, law enforcement and government agencies across the country, providing countless consultations, distributing important, timely communications, and assisting dozens of communities and organizations in preparing and mobilizing their constituents.
